I'm not actually familiar with this content, I believe that it was written by @tommcdon and I might have helped review it or do an edit pass. Tom, this is something we'd likely want to remove - yeah? If so, when we remove it, are there any alternatives we should point to? Usually when we remove content, we need to provide a redireciton.

I heard back from Tom, and was directed to follow up with @evgenyfedorov2 as it relates to this issue: dotnet/extensions#5414. Hey, Evgeny should we delete this article? Also, what would we redirect to if we do delete this?

We should update the article and describe the right way to proceed. I had already registered an issue for it #44176, but have not had time to work on it. Probably this or next month I will have capacity if that's ok to wait.

It would be very nice to have updated documentation.
I was using _resourceMonitor.GetUtilization(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(5));, but it's not clear how to achieve the same behavior using the MeterListener. The documentation and API of that alternative isn't great. So I now don't know how to get the same utilization average over 5 seconds.
