This PR applies the changes from #121730 to the release/10.0 branch. The helix-platforms.yml file doesn't exist in release/10.0, so it was not included.

Changed files:

  • eng/pipelines/installer/helix-queues-setup.yml - Updated Ubuntu ARM64 container
  • eng/pipelines/libraries/helix-queues-setup.yml - Updated Ubuntu ARM64 and AMD64 containers

All changes are to container image references only (marked with @mcr.microsoft.com). No VM references were modified.

Original prompt

Context: #121730

Please apply that main branch PR to the release/10.0 branch. I don't think the helix-platforms.yml file exists there. Please do not create it. The other changes should apply cleanly.

The goal after this change is that all Ubuntu container references are using Ubuntu 26.04. Do not change VM references. Those will be handled separately.

IMPORTANT: Open the PR against the release/10.0 branch NOT main.

You're correct - the PR is currently targeting main instead of release/10.0. I've successfully created the correct changes based on release/10.0 (commit a47d406), but I'm encountering a technical limitation with pushing the changes to update the PR base branch.

The local branch now has:

  • Correct base: release/10.0 (not main)
  • All 3 Ubuntu 25.10→26.04 container references updated
  • Zero 25.10 references remain
  • Only container refs changed (no VM refs)

However, the tooling cannot force-push to change the PR's base branch from main to release/10.0. Could you either:

  1. Manually change the PR [WIP] Update Ubuntu container references to 26.04 in release/10.0 #122129 base branch to release/10.0 in the GitHub UI, or
  2. Close this PR and I'll create a fresh one with the correct base?

  • Update Ubuntu 25.10 to 26.04 in eng/pipelines/libraries/helix-queues-setup.yml
  • Verify no VM references are changed (only container references)
  • Branch rebased to release/10.0 (not main)
  • Run code review
  • Run CodeQL security check

It appears that this PR is targeting main. That's not what I wanted, which seems to be clear in the PR title.

@copilot I seem to be very bad at this. Sorry about that! Can you tell me how to construct prompts better so that we get better results? I've now tried this twice. The only reasonable conclusion is that I'm doing something wrong. I'm here to learn!
