Are there any plans to merge this PR in the near future?

From my understanding, the reported issue is still present and the proposed change is appropriate. In the LX_DIRECT_READ configuration, returning status may use an uninitialized value, whereas returning LX_SYSTEM_ALLOCATION_FAILED directly accurately reflects the failure.

I would be glad to see this PR merged.

From my understanding, the reported issue is still present and the proposed change is appropriate. In the LX_DIRECT_READ configuration, returning status may use an uninitialized value, whereas returning LX_SYSTEM_ALLOCATION_FAILED directly accurately reflects the failure.
I would be glad to see this PR merged.
