Each pet directory is self-contained. Read pet.json, then install that manifest together with the atlas named by its spritesheetPath. Preview and QA artifacts are kept beside them for review.
Copy the pet directory into the Codex pets folder:
%USERPROFILE%\.codex\pets\<pet-id>\
The installed directory must contain:
pet.json
<the file named by spritesheetPath>
Agents and automated installers should follow AGENTS.md, including its cache-safe copy order and verification steps.
