I sit at the intersection of transportation engineering and software development — I design roads and I write the tools that make designing roads faster.
- 🚧 Transportation Design Technologist at IMEG (formerly Rodriguez Transportation Group)
- 🗺️ Daily drivers: OpenRoads Designer, QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, MicroStation
- 🚦 Field side: traffic data collection with Miovision Scout, TMC/ATR studies
- 🐍 Build side: Python automation, GIS pipelines, and internal AI-assisted tooling
- 🤖 Heavy into vibecoding — spec-driven builds with Claude Code, from brainstorm → SPEC.md → shipped app
- 📍 Based in Austin, TX
🛰️ SolWatch Solicitation-aggregation platform built for internal BD workflows — tracks agency solicitations across ESBD and other sources. Gained enough traction that IMEG's AI/software innovation team is now scaling it company-wide (rebranded IMEG-SolWatch), with an Azure + Entra ID migration path in progress. | 📊 US 181 Corridor Crash Analysis Safety study for the US 181 corridor in Beeville/Kenedy, TX. Uses TxDOT crash data, GeoPandas, and DBSCAN clustering in QGIS to surface high-crash hot spots, producing cluster centroid GeoPackages for engineering review. |
📎 Bindery Lightweight desktop app for merging, compressing, and paginating PDFs. Built with Flask + pikepdf for fast local document prep — no upload-to-a-website nonsense. | 🎬 SubMux Python desktop app that automates bilingual subtitle handling — retrieval, merging, and sync — using the OpenSubtitles API and ffsubsync. Grew out of a manual SRT-merge → ASS-format → Plex/Roku pipeline. |
