Summary

  • remove the manual npm dist-tag workflow
  • use named prerelease publishing instead, e.g. v0.40.0-clarke.1 -> genlayer@clarke

Context

The manual dist-tag path requires a publish-capable classic npm token. The available repo token for that path is invalid, while npm trusted publishing works for package release tags. Keeping the workflow would be a footgun.

Summary

  • remove the manual npm dist-tag workflow
  • use named prerelease publishing instead, e.g. v0.40.0-clarke.1 -> genlayer@clarke

Context

The manual dist-tag path requires a publish-capable classic npm token. The available repo token for that path is invalid, while npm trusted publishing works for package release tags. Keeping the workflow would be a footgun.

Verification

  • genlayer@clarke is published and verified separately
