Public-sector digitalisation · Enterprise software engineering · Secure, offline-first systems for low-connectivity environments
📍 Ghana · 🏛️ Office of the Head of Civil Service (OHCS) · 🗓️ In active service since December 2019
🏆 Best IT / IM Technician, 2024/25 — the national award for the top Information Technology / Information Management technician across the entire Ghana Civil Service, presented at the Civil Service Awards Ceremony, August 2025.
I serve within Ghana's Office of the Head of Civil Service (OHCS) as a Senior IT/IM Technician. Alongside that role I design, build, and maintain the full-stack software that digitises our public-sector operations — architecting production systems end to end, from data model to edge deployment. My focus is replacing paper-based workflows with secure, auditable, offline-capable systems that hold up under real-world government connectivity constraints.
| Strength | What it looks like in practice |
|---|---|
| End-to-end ownership | Plan and deliver full software lifecycles under broad direction — from data model through deployment to ongoing maintenance. |
| Working across teams | Act as technical liaison across OHCS directorates; translate operational needs into system designs and set the engineering standards for the systems I own. |
| Solving hard problems | Tackle non-routine data, integration, and offline-sync challenges, balancing edge performance, security compliance, and connectivity limits. |
| Depth & knowledge-sharing | Apply and document specialist knowledge of full-stack, edge/serverless, and secure API design so systems stay maintainable beyond me. |
| Communication & delivery | Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and tie each system to a measurable operational gain. |
