Stories shape the world. I’m here to write a few worth remembering.

About me

Hey, I’m Gibson. I’m an author of Christian fiction, a lifelong believer in the power of a good story, and the novelist behind Walls.

I write because stories stay with us. They let us wrestle with faith, hope, fear, failure, and all the strange turns that make a life a life. When I’m not working with words, I’m usually reading, playing tennis, or making something delightfully unnecessary with code.

We live for stories. We are the main characters in our own stories.

Notes from the writing desk

I share thoughts, updates, and pieces of the journey on Substack. You can also find the broader story—along with what I’m currently reading and listening to—at gibsonmurray.com.

Meanwhile, in the terminal...

Programming is still one of my favorite creative playgrounds. Sometimes the result is useful. Sometimes it’s a tiny universe made of text characters. Both count.

ProjectA small bit of digital mischief
cgalaxyA colorful, procedurally generated spiral galaxy in your terminal
cfireflyAmbient, pulsing fireflies for quiet terminal sessions
cquasarA particle accretion disk rendered one character at a time
ctidepoolAnimated interference waves for your command line
while (alive) {

make_something_weird();
