Resolves#25

Why is this feature needed?

The widget test was added to ensure the GFButtonBar component correctly renders its children. This helps maintain quality and confidence when making future changes to the widget.

What and how are we changing? Why this approach?

We introduced a new test file (gf_button_bar_test.dart) in the test suite to verify that GFButtonBar displays the provided children widgets. The test wraps the GFButtonBar in a MaterialApp and Scaffold, then confirms that two ElevatedButton widgets with distinct text labels are rendered as expected. This straightforward approach ensures that the widget's essential functionality remains intact.

What actions are required from users?

No immediate actions are necessary from users. The changes only affect the test suite and help maintain code quality.

How does it work? (Technical details)

  • The test initializes a MaterialApp widget with a Scaffold to correctly set up the widget tree.
  • GFButtonBar is instantiated with two ElevatedButton children.
  • The test pumps the widget into the WidgetTester and then uses finders to locate the text of each button, ensuring they both appear exactly once in the widget tree.

Is it backwards compatible?

Yes, this test addition is fully backwards compatible as it does not alter any existing production code.

Any other considerations?

Future tests could expand to evaluate more interactions or different configurations of the GFButtonBar if needed. This test lays the groundwork for ongoing improvements to our widget's robustness.
