The instructions are a little out of date, and how long does this workflow take to execute?

Been waiting over 5 minutes now and it still says "queued".

We dont expect to wait this long for a scan. Most CI/PRV builds are done in 2-3 minutes. The full Coverity SAST scan takes 5-10 minutes.
