Please fix the failing pre-submit if it is a real failure, but do not merge this PR. Instead, approve and merge #1701

Looks like specifying the commit id in /gcbrun was causing some conflict due to which we were getting this error: FETCHSOURCEfatal: couldn't find remote ref 8b13d80error: remote origin already exists
