Summary

Adds a typed Q3RN Qwen3-ASR RUN extension that places optional recognition context in the native chat template system message while leaving audio in the user turn.

Scope

  • Qwen3-ASR public C ABI, validation, capability probing, and prompt construction
  • Rust typed Qwen3AsrRunOptions plus regenerated bindings
  • C/Rust prompt and ABI regression coverage

AI Assistance

AI meaningfully assisted with implementation and tests. The author should review and own this change before merge.

Validation

  • ctest -R transcribe_(qwen3_asr_smoke|api_smoke)
  • cargo test -p transcribe-cpp family::tests::qwen_context_materializes_as_its_own_run_extension --lib
  • Python/TypeScript/Rust FFI drift checks and Swift ABI hash check

No WER evaluation was run because this change requires an application-owned real-audio corpus and reference transcripts.

Hi, thanks for this, this is also something I'm considering, but thinking about putting it in the main transcribe.h instead of an extension. Let me know your thoughts on this.

Basically there are enough other models that support something similar so it might make sense in the proper API itself rather than extension

Summary
Adds a typed Q3RN Qwen3-ASR RUN extension that places optional recognition context in the native chat template system message while leaving audio in the user turn.
Scope
  • Qwen3-ASR public C ABI, validation, capability probing, and prompt construction
  • Rust typed Qwen3AsrRunOptions plus regenerated bindings
  • C/Rust prompt and ABI regression coverage

AI meaningfully assisted with implementation and tests. The author should review and own this change before merge.
Validation
  • ctest -R transcribe_(qwen3_asr_smoke|api_smoke)

Hi, thanks for this, this is also something I'm considering, but thinking about putting it in the main transcribe.h instead of an extension. Let me know your thoughts on this.
Basically there are enough other models that support something similar so it might make sense in the proper API itself rather than extension
