Need Informations for intel microcode-20251111 Release

Hi,

The recent microcode-20251111 release didn't include a link to security advisory page. I guess it's because this release is not a security patch but a functional patch.

Advantage of security advisory page is the table that contains the affected CPUIDs with their platform ID.
For example microcode-20250812 release is linked to multiple security advisories, such as for example INTEL-SA-01249 with the "Affected Products" table.
Without such mapping table, it's very tricky to get the CPUID & Platform ID needed to identify which CPUs are affected by an update: it requires manual guess work based on the PI of the F-M-S/PI notation on the release page and opening each pdf file looking for the CPUID.
On recent microcode-20251111 release, I could guess the following:

• Atom C1100
• Xeon 6700/6500-Series Processors with P-Cores
• Xeon Max

Can you provide me this information for those 3 products ?
For further releases, what is the correct/easiest generic way to get the CPUID/Platform Id information ?

We did not have new security disclosures for this release which is why there were no new links to security advisories.

The detail around functional changes is complex and generally difficult to communicate the implementation and impacts of the issue. Some changes may require additional support in BIOS, firmware, or software to utilize. The errata documented in the specification updates published at the same time as microcode updates may provide some detail. The Intel recommendation is to always use the latest microcode updates.
