Magandang araw 👋!

🧑🏽‍💻 I'm JP, a data scientist based in the Philippines 🇵🇭.
⚙️ I'm interested in bridging AI and epidemiology.
🗣️ I speak Python, R, and a bit of SQL and JavaScript (particularly D3.js).
🌏 On my spare time, I learn languages: Estoy practicando mi español castellano y LATAM. ¡Pero estoy llegando allí!

Here are some of the projects that I worked on so far (I add at least one project per month!):

  1. Customer churn analysis of a telco dataset
  2. Dam water level data analysis and prediction
  3. Simple agent-based modeling of cow grazing over a square lattice
  4. Exploratory data and network analyses of a real-world sexual network
  5. Forecasting dengue cases in Metro Manila, Philippines using RNNs
  6. Simple d3.js-based COVID-19 dashboard for the Philippines 🇵🇭
  7. OCR text detection and recognition tool on a Japanese store invoice using PaddleOCR
  8. Identifying TB patients at risk of early treatment departure using a Bayesian-optimized XGBoost model
