Change the PyDev link from the latest version to version 9.3.0. Later versions of PyDev do not support Python 2.7. See https://www.pydev.org/download.html, section "Need to use older Eclipse/Java/Python".

That's useful, thanks. I'll test the link in the time-warped Eclipse I use for Jython 2. I'd let PyDev update beyond 9.3, but I only use it for the syntax highlighting. |

I totally messed up my old Eclipse installation testing this. (It was already a bit flakey.) However, this worked for me in a fresh installation. |

Are there any JetBrains/VSCode plugins that to use in place of the PyDev plugin on Eclipse? |
