Gigex 🎸 (A scraper for gigs)

A pleasant drawing of a sunburst bass guitar with violet, green and blue gradients

Currently supporting getting concerts from Songkick (http://www.songkick.com) and Lido in (https://www.lido-berlin.de) Berlin.

Installation

The package can be installed by adding gigex to your list of dependencies in mix.exs:

defdepsdo[{:gigex,"~> 0.1"}]end

Usage examples

Take two gigs from the Songkick website:

Escript generation (requires erlang and elixir installed)

To generate an escript to be able to execute gigex from the command line, type:

mixescript.build

A script will be generated in the application folder called gigex. You can execute it and see the gigs output.

Self-contained binary generation (does not require erlang and elixir installed)

Run:

BURRITO_TARGET=linuxMIX_ENV=prodmixrelease

Execute:

GIGEX_MODE=CLI burrito_out/gigex_cli_linux

To get the gigs.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Be sure to set the environment variable GIGEX_MODE=CLI if you want to see the gigs output
  • You have to have zig installed in your system to generate the self-contained binary.

Gigex 🎸 (A scraper for gigs)
A pleasant drawing of a sunburst bass guitar with violet, green and blue gradients
Currently supporting getting concerts from Songkick (http://www.songkick.com)
and Lido in (https://www.lido-berlin.de) Berlin.
Installation
The package can be installed by adding gigex to your list of dependencies in mix.exs:

mixescript.build
A script will be generated in the application folder called gigex.
You can execute it and see the gigs output.
Self-contained binary generation (does not require erlang and elixir installed)
Run:
BURRITO_TARGET=linuxMIX_ENV=prodmixrelease
Execute:
GIGEX_MODE=CLI burrito_out/gigex_cli_linux
To get the gigs.
IMPORTANT NOTES
  • Be sure to set the environment variable GIGEX_MODE=CLI if you want to see the gigs output
  • You have to have zig installed in your system to generate the self-contained binary.

Escript generation (requires erlang and elixir installed)
To generate an escript to be able to execute gigex from the command line, type:
mixescript.build
A script will be generated in the application folder called gigex.
You can execute it and see the gigs output.
Self-contained binary generation (does not require erlang and elixir installed)
Run:
BURRITO_TARGET=linuxMIX_ENV=prodmixrelease
Execute:
GIGEX_MODE=CLI burrito_out/gigex_cli_linux
To get the gigs.
IMPORTANT NOTES
  • Be sure to set the environment variable GIGEX_MODE=CLI if you want to see the gigs output
  • You have to have zig installed in your system to generate the self-contained binary.
