                Resending declined invitation for view-only channel results in 2 pending invitations #2989

                Description

                @sairina

                Summary

                When sharing a channel, if a user that was invited to VIEW a channel (the "invitee") declines the invitation, the user who invites ("host") will still see the invitee in their "Users who can view" table. If the host resends the invitation, that row in the table is duplicated.

                Usage Details

                Please give details about how you were using Studio.

                • Browser: Chrome
                • Channel: Empty Channel
                • Topic/Content Item: N/A

                How to reproduce

                1. Sign in as a host, and share a view-only channel with the invitee (click on the three dots at the bottom right-hand corner of the card for a channel > Edit channel details > Click on Sharing tab > Add email and click on "Can view")

                2. Log in as the invitee > View-only tab > Decline the invitation

                3. Log back in as the host, return to the Sharing view (see step 1 for directions)

                4. Notice that the table reflects that no users can view, but that your invitee's row says, "Invitation pending".

                5. Click on Options > Resend invitation

                6. Notice that a new row has been added to the table

                Real-life consequences (anything community should be aware of, for instance how it affects end users)

                The UI could be confusing for invitee and host, and functionality would be a bit unclear.
