Problem

The devpc release workflow can only be started by pushing a devpc-v* tag or by a manual workflow_dispatch. Not every environment driving the release train can do either — tag pushes and the workflow-dispatch API endpoint can both be unavailable, leaving no way to cut a release even though branch pushes and PR merges work fine.

Change

devpc-managed-release.yml now also triggers on pushes to main that change .github/devpc-release-version, and publishes the release for the version that file carries, targeted at the merge commit. Bumping the marker file through a reviewed PR is now a complete, auditable release path.

The publish step resolves the version from the dispatch input when present, falling back to the marker file. All guards from #59 apply unchanged on this path:

  • version must match the N.N.N-devpc.N shape,
  • its base version must equal the versions in apps/server/package.json and apps/web/package.json,
  • publishing is refused when the release tag already exists at a different commit, and a failed tag lookup fails the run rather than passing it.

Tag pushes keep their existing behavior (the paths filter does not apply to tag events).

The marker starts at 0.0.28-devpc.54, so merging this PR publishes that release at the merge commit.

Generated by Claude Code

Tag pushes and workflow dispatches are not available in every
environment that drives the release train, so the release workflow
now also runs on main pushes that change .github/devpc-release-version
and publishes the release for the version that file carries, at the
merge commit. All existing guards apply: version shape validation,
package-version cross-check, and refusal when the tag already exists
at another commit. The marker starts at 0.0.28-devpc.54, so landing
this commit publishes that release.

Next review available in:41 minutes

You've used all free OSS reviews for now. Wait for the free limit to reset to keep reviewing this public repository.

How can I continue?

After more reviews become available, a review can be triggered using the @coderabbitai review command as a PR comment. Alternatively, push new commits to this PR.

To avoid repeated limits, reduce automatic review volume by pausing incremental auto-reviews earlier, using label-based review opt-in, excluding WIP or generated PR titles, or requesting reviews manually when the PR is ready. If your team needs uninterrupted high-volume reviews, an organization admin can enable usage-based reviews.

How do review limits work?

CodeRabbit enforces per-developer PR review limits for each organization. Most developers receive the normal plan review availability.

For paid Pro and Pro+ PR reviews, CodeRabbit uses adaptive limits for sustained high-volume activity. When a developer's recent PR review activity reaches the 95th percentile or higher among CodeRabbit users, additional reviews become available more gradually as earlier reviews age out of the rolling window.

Review limit reached

@logancsack, you've reached your PR review limit, so we couldn't start this review.

Please refer docs for additional details.
