Unfortunately Safari has different requirements for sideways headers - so either you could differentiate between browsers, try a different solution, which works for all browsers (I couldn't find anything yet) or decide that Safari isn't that relevant for this application.

What about the solution proposed in the above StackOverflow answer? I tried that on Firefox and Safari and it seemed to work fine.

Unfortunately Safari has different requirements for sideways headers - so either you could differentiate between browsers, try a different solution, which works for all browsers (I couldn't find anything yet) or decide that Safari isn't that relevant for this application.

What about the solution proposed in the above StackOverflow answer? I tried that on Firefox and Safari and it seemed to work fine.
