Is there any change to react-native-code-push package to use code-push-server package? We were already using it in the project. Can we continue using it without forking?

Hello, yes you can still use react-native-code-push from Microsoft, you only need to configure CodePushServerUrl in strings.xml and CodePushServerURL in Info.plist. Make sure to use an https url or configure your app's network config to allow http (only in development, not for production).

You'd likely want to use a maintained fork of react-native-code-push though. We maintain one at appzung/react-native-code-push. There's already ESM support, stricter Typescript typings, more robust reports (we have some ideas to improve this even more), and more improvements. By default it targets our managed paid server with additional features but you can use your Microsoft's open source code-push-server instance for the regular features if you don't mind self hosting (with CodePushServerUrl configuration).
