Summary

  • Add CodexGenerator to write .codex/agents/<name>.toml for planner, generator, healer using the Codex subagent schema (name, description, sandbox_mode, developer_instructions, [mcp_servers.playwright-test] with command/args/enabled_tools)
  • Add codex to --loop choices and a bash-codex tab in docs/src/test-agents-js.md
  • Codex's spawn router rejects hyphenated names, so the filename and name field use underscored variants (e.g. playwright_test_planner.toml)

fix(agents): underscore Codex agent names

Codex's spawn router rejects hyphenated agent names with
`error=unknown agent_type 'playwright-test-planner'`. Replace
hyphens with underscores for both the .codex/agents/*.toml
filename and the `name` field. The Claude/Opencode agent ids
keep their original hyphenated form.

chore(agents): address review feedback on Codex generator
007eada
- Move tomlBasicString / tomlArray / tomlMultilineBasicString into
packages/isomorphic/stringUtils.ts and consume them from generateAgents.ts
- Extract CodexGenerator.codexName() to dedupe the hyphen-to-underscore
rename and document the spawn-router constraint with a link to the
Codex subagents docs (https://developers.openai.com/codex/subagents)
- Strengthen the init-agents test with enabled_tools assertions for
the planner (planner_save_plan, browser_navigate) and healer
(test_debug) so the tool-filter loop is exercised

Summary
  • Add CodexGenerator to write .codex/agents/<name>.toml for planner, generator, healer using the Codex subagent schema (name, description, sandbox_mode, developer_instructions, [mcp_servers.playwright-test] with command/args/enabled_tools)
  • Add codex to --loop choices and a bash-codex tab in docs/src/test-agents-js.md
  • Codex's spawn router rejects hyphenated names, so the filename and name field use underscored variants (e.g. playwright_test_planner.toml)

`error=unknown agent_type 'playwright-test-planner'`. Replace
hyphens with underscores for both the .codex/agents/*.toml
filename and the `name` field. The Claude/Opencode agent ids

- Move tomlBasicString / tomlArray / tomlMultilineBasicString into
packages/isomorphic/stringUtils.ts and consume them from generateAgents.ts
- Extract CodexGenerator.codexName() to dedupe the hyphen-to-underscore
rename and document the spawn-router constraint with a link to the
Codex subagents docs (https://developers.openai.com/codex/subagents)
- Strengthen the init-agents test with enabled_tools assertions for
the planner (planner_save_plan, browser_navigate) and healer
(test_debug) so the tool-filter loop is exercised

fix(agents): underscore Codex agent names

Codex's spawn router rejects hyphenated agent names with
`error=unknown agent_type 'playwright-test-planner'`. Replace
hyphens with underscores for both the .codex/agents/*.toml
filename and the `name` field. The Claude/Opencode agent ids
keep their original hyphenated form.

chore(agents): address review feedback on Codex generator

- Move tomlBasicString / tomlArray / tomlMultilineBasicString into
packages/isomorphic/stringUtils.ts and consume them from generateAgents.ts
- Extract CodexGenerator.codexName() to dedupe the hyphen-to-underscore
rename and document the spawn-router constraint with a link to the
Codex subagents docs (https://developers.openai.com/codex/subagents)
- Strengthen the init-agents test with enabled_tools assertions for
the planner (planner_save_plan, browser_navigate) and healer
(test_debug) so the tool-filter loop is exercised
