The 1.4.0 bump landed on default-theme after #67 had already been squash-merged, so it never reached main. This PR brings over the two files plus the dist rebuild the pre-commit hook derives from them:

1.4.0 rather than 2.0.0: versions in this repo mark copyable states, not an API contract (no package to update), and 1.2.0/1.3.0 already shipped breaking changes as minors with a Breaking section in the changelog carrying the communication.

Once merged, the v1.4.0 draft release is ready to publish; the tag will be cut from main with everything included.

The 1.4.0 bump landed on default-theme after #67 had already been squash-merged, so it never reached main. This PR brings over the two files plus the dist rebuild the pre-commit hook derives from them:
1.4.0 rather than 2.0.0: versions in this repo mark copyable states, not an API contract (no package to update), and 1.2.0/1.3.0 already shipped breaking changes as minors with a Breaking section in the changelog carrying the communication.
Once merged, the v1.4.0 draft release is ready to publish; the tag will be cut from main with everything included.
