Summary

  • Remove .github/dependabot.yml. Routine version bumps were generating noise (7 PRs in the first run, most low-value for a small CLI) without clear payoff.
  • Going forward: security updates handled via repo Settings → Code security → "Dependabot security updates" (independent of this YAML, only fires on real CVEs). Routine bumps will be done manually with pnpm update --interactive --latest when needed.

Test plan

  • CI green (no dependabot.yml needed for any other workflow)
  • Confirm "Dependabot security updates" toggle is ON in repo Settings → Code security
