🪟 Windows Activator

A simple, menu-driven batch tool to activate Windows using public KMS servers.

GitHub Repo starsGitHub LicensePlatformVersionMade with Batch

⚠️ Disclaimer

This tool is provided for educational and testing purposes only.

It uses KMS (Key Management Service) technology and public, generic license keys published by Microsoft. It does not bypass, crack, or patch any Microsoft software, and it does not grant you a genuine, permanent license.

  • If you use Windows for personal, business, or production purposes, please purchase a genuine license from Microsoft or an authorized reseller.
  • KMS activation is intended for volume-licensed environments and is time-limited (activation typically lasts 180 days).
  • You are solely responsible for how you use this software. The author assumes no liability for any misuse or for any damage resulting from its use.

✨ Features

  • 🎯 Automatic detection — option 0 detects your Windows edition and activates it automatically.
  • 🖥️ Manual selection — pick your exact Windows version from a clean numbered menu.
  • 🎨 Clean terminal UI with ASCII banners for each edition.
  • 🔒 Administrator check — warns you if the tool isn't run with the required privileges.
  • 📦 Single file — no installation, no dependencies. Just one .bat file.

Windows 8.1Pro · EnterpriseHome

Why some editions aren't listed: KMS activation only works on volume-license editions. Home (all versions) and Windows 7 Ultimate are retail/OEM-only editions with no Microsoft KMS key, so they can't be activated this way — the tool will show a clear notice if you pick one. All keys used are the official KMS client setup keys published by Microsoft.

📋 Requirements

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11
  • Administrator privileges
  • An active internet connection (to reach the public KMS server)

🚀 Usage

  1. Download the script from the Releases section.
  2. Right-click the file and choose Run as administrator.
  3. Type 0 for automatic activation, or the number of your Windows edition, then press Enter.
  4. If you selected an edition manually, type 1 (Continue Activation) to proceed.
  5. Wait for the three confirmation pop-ups. When all report successful, your Windows is activated.

💡 To verify activation afterwards, run slmgr /xpr in Command Prompt.

🔧 How It Works

The tool runs three standard slmgr (Software Licensing Management) commands:

slmgr /ipk <generic-KMS-key> :: installs the public product key for your edition
slmgr /skms kms8.msguides.com :: points activation to a public KMS host
slmgr /ato :: activates Windows against that host

All keys used are the generic KMS client keys publicly documented by Microsoft.
