About Me

Amantle Mpaekae — known as Mulax Prime. 19 years old. Self-taught AI developer from Gaborone, Botswana.

I don't learn from tutorials. I learn by building tools that solve real problems for real people. At 19, I've shipped three full versions of an AI-powered BGCSE Computer Studies tutor, tested by real students and real developers, and built an offline AI admissions assistant submitted to the Africa Deep Tech Challenge 2026.

  • Creator of Mothusi — an AI tutor for BGCSE Computer Studies students, now at V3.1
  • Creator of Tsela — an offline, on-device AI admissions assistant for Botswana university applicants, built for ADTC 2026
  • Creator of Mpho — a Telegram bot with AI chat, TTS, and YouTube streaming
  • Currently expanding into full-stack web development — HTML, CSS (Flexbox), and JavaScript — to bring Mothusi to the browser
  • Ranked #1 contributor in Botswana on Gitista's open source leaderboard

Featured Projects

Tsela — An offline, on-device AI assistant answering university admissions questions for six Botswana institutions (UB, BIUST, BA ISAGO, Botho, Limkokwing, BSBS/BAC). Built and tested entirely on a consumer laptop with no GPU. Runs a quantized Qwen2.5-1.5B-Instruct model via llama.cpp, with a verified knowledge base and a deterministic lookup that bypasses the model for high-stakes facts like points requirements — preventing hallucination on the numbers that matter most. Submitted to the Africa Deep Tech Challenge 2026.

Mothusi V3.1 — AI-powered tutor for BGCSE Computer Studies students in Botswana. Built with a full tkinter GUI, Groq-powered AI responses, voice input/output, student login and registration, quiz mode with scoring, and auto-saved sessions. Open source on GitHub under MIT license, and independently tested by other Botswana developers.

Mpho — Telegram bot with AI chat powered by Groq, text-to-speech via gTTS, and YouTube music streaming.
