Summary

  • Add .github/dependabot.yml to enable weekly automated dependency updates for two ecosystems: pip (project dependencies in pyproject.toml) and github-actions (workflow action versions in .github/workflows/). Both use a chore commit-message prefix.
  • Update CHANGELOG.md under Unreleased to record the new automation.

Checklist

  • ruff check . passes
  • mypy logquill passes (--strict on the public API)
  • pytest passes, and new surface area has test coverage
  • Public API additions are documented in README.md with a runnable example
    (N/A — no public API surface changed)
  • CHANGELOG.md has an entry under Unreleased
  • If this touches the cross-language contract (levels, logger methods,
    record shape, transport/plugin contracts, config shape) shared with
    logquill-js, a matching tracking issue/PR is opened there
    (N/A — repo tooling only, no contract impact)

Scope

Single concern: CI/dependency-hygiene tooling. No code changes.

Summary
  • Add .github/dependabot.yml to enable weekly automated dependency updates for two ecosystems: pip (project dependencies in pyproject.toml) and github-actions (workflow action versions in .github/workflows/). Both use a chore commit-message prefix.
  • Update CHANGELOG.md under Unreleased to record the new automation.

  • mypy logquill passes (--strict on the public API)

  •  Public API additions are documented in README.md with a runnable example
