The blog post [Evolving the Node.js Release Schedule](https://nodejs.org/en/blog/announcements/evolving-the-nodejs-release-schedule)

### Node.js 27 Introduction

The blog post [Evolving the Node.js Release Schedule](https://nodejs.org/en/blog/announcements/evolving-the-nodejs-release-schedule)
announces the intention to change the structure of Node.js releases to include an Alpha phase before
the Current phase of the next release which is Node.js 27.
Refer to the [nodejs/release](https://github.com/nodejs/release#readme) repo regarding Node.js 27
as more information becomes available.

Node.js 27 Alpha versions are planned to be released as `node` Docker images.

Docker update and build processes need to be adapted for this change.
Readiness will be determined when further detailed planning and implementation has been addressed.
