Following error is shown when npm outdated -g is called:

npm ERR! Cannot read property 'length' of undefined

This patch fixes the problem by setting path to an empty string when tree.package.name is undefined.

Following error is shown when npm outdated -g is called:
npm ERR! Cannot read property 'length' of undefined

This patch fixes the problem by setting path to an empty string when tree.package.name is undefined.
