🐛 The bug

This works perfectly fine in the 2.5.0 version, but in the version 2.6.0 it is stuck. I have created a new nuxt project and have been trying for an hour to fix this, but this version was only released 4 hours ago.  😭

I was about to address this issue. The problem is that we can't even change the position in our Nuxt config file or anywhere else. OMG!

Yeah, lmao. I just decided to try out Nuxt and immediately ran into this issue.

Temporary Solution

The package isn't listed in your package.json by default since it's a dependency of nuxt.
However, you can still force its version by explicitly adding it to your devDependencies:

"devDependencies": {
  "@nuxt/devtools": "2.5.0"
}

If you don't want to install @nuxt/devtools but have already globally updated nuxt 3. You can try this option as a temporary solution until this bug is fixed. It helped me
