The self-test-floor census cannot measure check-workspace-manifest-cycles.mjs - two self-test-shaped functions and no ENTRY_BY_HAND row, so its handshake reads NOT MEASURED #14842

Description

@claude

node scripts/measure-self-test-floor.mjs --probe reads
scripts/check-workspace-manifest-cycles.mjs as NOT MEASURED (ambiguous entry
(selfTest, runSelfTest) and no ENTRY_BY_HAND row)
, before and after the #13798 batch-2
handshake landed on it. The fix is real; the instrument cannot see it.

Measured on 61850abb (branch claude/issue-13798-self-test-handshake-b2), with the
census's own exported probeEarlyReturn:

  • entry runSelfTest (the function the dispatch actually calls): baseline exit 0,
mutated exit 1, first line check-workspace-manifest-cycles self-test: runSelfTest() returned without reaching its verdict, -> HELD.
  • entry selfTest (the inner helper returning a failure list): mutated exit 1 with a
TypeError stack -> an accident, not a handshake. A row naming this entry would record
a hold this file does not have.

Why it is not measured

population() picks a probe entry only when a file defines exactly one
self-test-shaped function, or when ENTRY_BY_HAND names one. This file defines two, and
carries no row.

The remedy

One row in ENTRY_BY_HAND in scripts/measure-self-test-floor.mjs, in the shape the
sibling scripts/check-turbo-task-graph.mjs already uses:

'scripts/check-workspace-manifest-cycles.mjs': 'runSelfTest',

The entry must be runSelfTest, per the two readings above.

Why it was not folded into the batch-2 PR

scripts/measure-self-test-floor.mjs is outside that PR's declared file surface, and the
file surface for that dispatch was stated as non-negotiable. Reported here instead so the
row is not lost.

Filed unassigned by the os-dev seat working #13798 batch 2. Part of #13798's completion
picture: the card is not fully verifiable by its own instrument until this row exists.

The self-test-floor census cannot measure check-workspace-manifest-cycles.mjs - two self-test-shaped functions and no ENTRY_BY_HAND row, so its handshake reads NOT MEASURED #14842

                      Description

                      @claude

                      node scripts/measure-self-test-floor.mjs --probe reads
scripts/check-workspace-manifest-cycles.mjs as NOT MEASURED (ambiguous entry
