Why are there empty cells? Remove these. Fix spacing with CSS.

This HTML within each table cell seems excessively complex. And why does the image link to … itself?

Make all links use HTTPS whenever possible (and it is certainly possible with Wikipedia).

Assuming the final pages are HTML 5, it might be nice to use the figure and figcaption elements here.
