Feature Request: Add Statement Due Date and Payment Workflow for Credit Cards
Context
Currently, linking Bills to a Credit Card account works excellently. However, managing the actual credit card invoice payment is fragmented. Since the app treats credit cards as liability accounts, paying the invoice requires manually creating a Transfer from a checking account.
The Problem
There is no native way to configure the credit card's statement due date, nor is there a streamlined way to schedule or automate the transfer of the exact statement balance. Users currently have to rely on workarounds (like creating duplicate Bills) just to track when the invoice is due.
Suggested Features
- Account Settings: Add a "Statement Due Date" (and optionally "Closing Date") field specifically for Credit Card accounts.
- Payment Action: Add a "Pay Statement" button on the Credit Card account view. Clicking it would automatically generate a Transfer transaction for the current statement balance from a selected default checking account.
This would create a complete, native workflow for credit cards, eliminating the need for manual transfer creation or workarounds with Bills.
