Why

T3 treated successful git worktree add as proof that dependencies were ready. Relative core.hooksPath=.githooks is resolved from the source checkout, so a stale or bare source silently skips a hook that exists in the target worktree. T3code itself uses a bare source repository.

What

After creating a worktree, T3 detects the target commit’s native checkout hook, invokes it from that worktree with an explicit local hooks path, and awaits success before returning. Repository hooks record completed package/lock state to avoid duplicate installs.

How

The VCS driver resolves the new HEAD and runs git -c core.hooksPath=.githooks hook run post-checkout -- <head> <head> 1. Failure propagates as worktree creation failure. An integration test reproduces a stale source checkout with no hooks and proves target preparation completes.

Remarks

This keeps native hooks portable for human Git usage while making T3, rather than an eventual agent shell, own T3-created worktree readiness.
