Most robotics demos work in ideal conditions — my job is making them work when they don't: partial LiDAR scans, reflective floors, dropped network packets, and operators expecting the robot to keep moving anyway.

  • Embodied AI & RL: Manipulation policy training in MuJoCo, sim-to-real transfer, distributional RL (QR-DQN / C51) for risk-aware path planning.
  • 3D Perception: Point cloud and depth-image pipelines (Intel D435, Visionary-T) for 3D object detection in unstructured environments.

I graduated in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence from Hanoi University of Industry, and now work as a Robotics Software Engineer at VinRobotics.

With two years of shipping ROS 2 mobile robots into production — hospitals, restaurants, factory floors — and researching Embodied AI along the way, I focus on building robust systems. I recently published in MethodsX (Q2) on distributional reinforcement learning for path planning under sensor noise.


robot What I actually do

Most robotics demos work in ideal conditions — my job is making them work when they don't: partial LiDAR scans, reflective floors, dropped network packets, and operators expecting the robot to keep moving anyway.

  • Autonomous Navigation: ROS 2, Nav2, Cartographer SLAM, DDS QoS tuning for real-time performance on constrained hardware.
  • Embodied AI & RL: Manipulation policy training in MuJoCo, sim-to-real transfer, distributional RL (QR-DQN / C51) for risk-aware path planning.
  • 3D Perception: Point cloud and depth-image pipelines (Intel D435, Visionary-T) for 3D object detection in unstructured environments.
  • Embedded Robotics: Micro-ROS firmware on ESP32 with FreeRTOS — sub-5ms sensor publish latency for tight control loops.
