What

Adds a tri-state Channel.enabledByDefault hint to Twister and uses it across connectors so the setup UI defaults to syncing everything the user reasonably wants and filtering out the low-value channels, instead of picking a single "primary" channel.

enabledByDefault:

  • true — pre-select (e.g. a user's own calendar)
  • false — exclude (low-value/irrelevant, or a too-broad container)
  • undefined — client decides (enables unless the title looks low-value)

Connector defaults

ConnectorDefault on
Google CalendarThe user's own calendars (accessRole === "owner"); holiday/birthday and someone-else's shared calendars off
GmailInbox + Sent (Important/Starred overlap the inbox; Draft + user labels off)
Google DriveMy Drive + Shared drives + Shared with me
GitHubowner parents off (enabling one cascades to every repo — user picks)
MS Teamsteam containers off (DMs stay on; user picks channels)

Connectors with no low-value signal (Slack, Linear, Jira, PostHog, Airtable, Todoist, Google Tasks, Google Chat, single-channel) are unchanged and default to enabling all their channels via the client default.

Notes

  • Includes a changeset (@plotday/twister minor).
  • The client-side selection logic + API propagation live in the core repo PR; this PR is the SDK type + connector signals.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Add a tri-state `Channel.enabledByDefault` hint and use it so the setup UI
selects the channels a user reasonably wants and filters out the low-value
ones, instead of relying on a single "primary" channel.
- twister: `Channel.enabledByDefault` (true=preselect, false=exclude,
undefined=client decides) + changeset
- google-calendar: enable the user's own calendars (accessRole === "owner");
exclude holiday/birthday and someone-else's shared calendars
- gmail: default to Inbox + Sent
- google-drive: My Drive + Shared drives + Shared with me
- github: don't pre-select owner parents (enabling one cascades to every repo)
- ms-teams: don't pre-select team containers (DMs stay default-on)
