Summary

Adds two Connector SDK fields so the per-connection "Sync new channels" toggle reads in each service's own language and defaults sensibly — fixing two user-confusion issues with connector channels.

  • channelNoun?: { singular, plural } — what a connector's channels actually represent (folder, project, calendar, label, space, repository, …). The app substitutes it everywhere it would otherwise say "channel(s)" — e.g. "Sync new folders" / "When a new folder is added, enable it automatically." Defaults to channel/channels.
  • autoEnableNewChannelsByDefault?: boolean — makes the "Sync new …" toggle start ON for connectors that already select all channels by default, so newly created projects/channels sync automatically. Selective connectors leave it off.

This is the planned follow-up to the deferred "future change" notes in 2026-04-24-sync-new-channels-design.md (the original feature shipped with the toggle hardcoded to "channels" + default off).

Connectors

auto-enable ON + nounnoun only (selective, off)
airtable (base), apple-calendar (calendar), asana (project), google-drive (folder), google-tasks (list), jira (project), linear (team), outlook-calendar (calendar), todoist (project), posthog (event type), slack (channel)github (repository), gmail (label), google-calendar (calendar), google-chat (space), outlook-mail (folder)
  • Single-channel connectors (attio, fellow, granola, instagram, linkedin, whatsapp) show no channel list → unaffected.
  • Notion has no source in this tree (only compiled dist/) → keeps the defaults.
  • ms-teams: noun is already "channel" and it's selective → no change.

Verification

twister build: 0 errors · all 16 connectors tsc --noEmit: 0 errors · changeset valid (minor).

Add two Connector SDK fields so the per-connection "Sync new channels"
toggle reads in each service's own language and defaults sensibly:
- channelNoun ({ singular, plural }) names what a channel represents
(folder, project, calendar, label, space, repository, …). The app
substitutes it everywhere it would say "channel(s)" — e.g. "Sync new
folders" / "When a new folder is added, …". Defaults to channel/channels.
- autoEnableNewChannelsByDefault makes the "Sync new …" toggle start ON
for connectors that already select all channels by default, so newly
created projects/channels sync automatically. Selective connectors
(Gmail, Calendar, GitHub, …) leave it off.
Set both across the multi-channel connectors. Selective connectors get
only channelNoun. Single-channel connectors are unaffected (no channel
list). Notion has no source in-tree and keeps the defaults.
