Darwin network metrics reset at 4GB

This was supposedly fixed a few years ago in #1318 but I found the same problem today in version 1.9.1. The netdev metrics reset every 4GB.
In this example, the real network throughput is approximately 5Gbps, so the counter resets approximately every 6 seconds. I used a 1m scrape interval, so the graph is meaningless:

I'm running macOS Sonoma 14.7.1. This simple curl loop shows the issue:

• Getting accurate network metrics on macOS is possible using sysctl() with NET_RT_IFLIST2.
• Traffic metrics are exposed in units of 1KiB to prevent fingerprinting (only for 3rd party programs).
• As of macOS Ventura 13.2.1, there’s a kernel bug which truncates traffic values at the 4GiB mark.
• Using getifaddrs() only exposes 32bit fields, so it’s not a viable API on modern systems.
