Why

Stay on advertised Electrum 1.4.2 until P2P package relay exists. When BIP331 / Q-48 lands, implement 1.6 (broadcast_package) then 1.7 and raise protocol_max in the same work — do not advertise a version we do not speak.

RPC submitpackage and Esplora POST /txs/package already accept packages; the Electrum bump waits on the P2P command.

Why
Stay on advertised Electrum 1.4.2 until P2P package relay exists. When BIP331 / Q-48 lands, implement 1.6 (broadcast_package) then 1.7 and raise protocol_max in the same work — do not advertise a version we do not speak.
RPC submitpackage and Esplora POST /txs/package already accept packages; the Electrum bump waits on the P2P command.
