Digital shift turnover and control room handover for nuclear power facilities
ReactorShift is an early-stage prototype of a digital shift turnover platform designed for licensed reactor operators and shift supervisors at nuclear power plants. The concept replaces paper-based and PDF-driven handover workflows with a structured, auditable record of each shift transition — covering operating procedure status, outstanding maintenance orders, chemistry alerts, and supervisor sign-offs. It targets compliance with 10 CFR 50.54(t) shift turnover requirements without adding bureaucratic overhead to already time-sensitive control room operations.

ReactorShift is scaffolded as a single application with a form-driven frontend and a lightweight backend responsible for persisting turnover records to an append-only log. No external plant systems, historian databases, or document management integrations are wired up at this stage — the data model is self-contained and local to the prototype.
