I'm not in favor of this, from the viewpoint of specification orthogonality. Note that only the ecosystem/entry document refers to "Solid"; this was intentional. More details at solid/authentication-panel#29 (comment). |

After reading the other thread, I think a better name is needed. I recognize the reasons to not call it WebID-OIDC, but also that it is and should be broader than Solid. So, I would welcome some more thinking around this.
Given that the protocol isn't Solid specific, it doesn't make sense to limit the name to that scope. Recommend that a new name be proposed that covers an expanded scope. |

Renames authentication spec from WebID-OIDC to Solid-OIDC, to address solid/authentication-panel#29.
