Failed to load url ~/entry-server.tsx (trying to find .tsx instead of .jsx)

It seems something isn't working properly when doing the tsx > jsx transpiling.

I'm running a clean Solid Start project. I created a new Solid-Start project with pnpm create solid. It created a 2.0 alpha project. It's looking for entry-server.tsx (typescript). I set the project as using .jsx instead.

The create cli in fact does give me the .jsx-files. However, running the project trips Vite up, wanting entry-server.tsx, instead of entry-server.jsx (which is in my project). Running npm run dev, gives me an error:

Error: Failed to load url ~/entry-server.tsx (resolved id: /Users/.../src/entry-server.tsx). Does the file exist?

Expected behavior
It should try and locate entry-server.jsx instead of entry-server.tsx

Retested this against current main (5833ad1, Create-Solid v0.8.1 built locally) and the reported breakage no longer reproduces. The TS→JS conversion path was rewritten in #82 (sucrase-based transform), and the v2 templates have since moved to @solidjs/start 2.0.0 stable, which resolves .jsx entries correctly.

What I verified:

SolidStart v2 with-tailwindcss scaffolded with JavaScript (the setup from this report):

• All source files emitted as .jsx (entry-server.jsx, entry-client.jsx, app.jsx, routes), jsconfig.json generated, and zero lingering .tsx references anywhere in the project.
• pnpm install (@solidjs/start 2.0.0, vite 8.1.4) then vite dev: server boots cleanly and GET / returns 200 with server-rendered HTML — no Failed to load url ~/entry-server.tsx error.

Solid 2.0 (beta) basic template scaffolded with JavaScript (shares the same conversion path):

• vite dev serves the app shell and routes, all .jsx modules compile, and vite build (client + SSR environments) completes without errors.

Closing as fixed by the conversion rewrite in #82. If you still hit this with a fresh npm create solid@latest, please comment and we'll reopen.
