The biggest advantage of GUI is that we can intuitively view abundant information and provide intuitive feedback and guidance in interaction.
It is hoped to implement a path tracking function that can highlight (bold) the associated paths in real time.

This feature is very common in many graph-based software, such as PCB layout, microelectronics layout design, and so on.

In your video, why the orange (left most) path before commit v2026.10 is only highlighted when hover branch H? Does commit v2026.10 is not belongs to other branches?

I actually do not like this feature. You can check out how the Only hightlight current branch feature works. It hightlights all the subpaths that belongs to current branch.

This is a problem with my implementation. My video is just for the convenience of expressing my concept.

I actually do not like this feature. You can check out how the Only hightlight current branch feature works. It hightlights all the subpaths that belongs to current branch.

Only hightlight current branch and my branch terminal are two different things. In numerous and complex branches, this one can highlight the commit you are in by bold, making it convenient for you to find related commits and other scenarios.

高亮当前分支和我的这个分支线跟踪两码事。在复杂且繁多的分支视图，这个可以在视觉上很好的引导我们所要操作的分支和关联的commit，他主要是提高用户的体验，快速利用 gui 辨识相关的commit。

比如电路图。密密麻麻的时候。鼠标悬浮高亮可以快速让你在鼠标游走的时候。快速判断走向。

高亮当前分支和我的这个分支线跟踪两码事

你的目的无非是将选中的路径与其他分别开来，这本身就是高亮分支的特性呀。

这样不比仅加粗更容易辨别？

不是的，我的意思是，我所表达的当前分支是指： 鼠标所在的这个分支。

而不是当前head/branch 所在的分支。

我所在的公司。现在是多分支管理。或者某个一批次的提交，一个提交还要pick 到不同的分支区分不同的分支客户。经常这样所以搞的眼花缭乱。 这个确实很好的指导我解决了问题。比如我在 A ，我需要把B 分支的某几个提过来。
但是现有的功能是 只能高亮A ，没法跟踪B。我希望我鼠标移动到B 相关的提交就可以吧整个B 相关的链路就显示加粗 ，他没任何副作用，却可以引导我在当前视图快速找到B 分支的这几个关联的。

那你需要的不是在graph上高亮这一功能。因为在多分支情况下，在混乱的提交列表中很难定位出哪些提交是不同的（需要cherry-pick）的。

我觉得你需要的是 git cherry 这一功能

我将重构一版 Compare 的功能：在对比分支/标签时，显示它们独有的提交。如果两者之中有当前HEAD（即是某个分支与当前比较），那么可选择它独有的提交进行 cherry-pick 操作。

已经提交了一版。目前SourceGit会列出对比双方独有的提交。与 git cherry 相同，SourceGit 会自动忽略已经 cherry-pick 过的或是完全等价的提交。

我认真思考下之后，我发现这个 cherry 确实是不错的功能。但是我发现。走搞软件和硬件相关。我觉得path tracking 应该不是一个操作的功能。而是一个UI 特定。之前确实不是横竖徐 cherry 。但是我发现就算有了 cherry 。我还是很喜欢 这个 tracking 的功能。他确实在繁多的path中帮我快速定位。

所以我想还是把当前iusse 改一下。并新建一个 issue 提交我的idea

你如果需要快速查看选中的commit的父子提交，可以使用 Alt+Up/Alt+Down
