Spequoia is an open source initiative to redefine how teams design, test, and document modern web applications — using a shared specification format.
This GitHub organization hosts the core Spequoia specification format and related tooling, built around the idea of spec-first development: one source of truth, flowing into everything from wireframes to automated tests to interactive documentation.
💡 Start with the main repo: spequoia/spequoia
Spequoia is a specification format and toolchain that:
- Bridges product design, development, and testing
- Uses human-friendly YAML/Markdown specs
- Generates interactive mockups, automated tests, and up-to-date docs
It's ideal for teams tired of misaligned specs, stale documentation, and fragile QA handoffs.
