Statuti Ascoli

Statuti Ascoli brings online the historic legal corpus of Ascoli Piceno from the 14th–15th centuries. It digitizes the 1377 Statuti del Comune and Statuti del Popolo, later translated and printed in 1496, offering open access to a unique window into the city’s medieval institutions, customs, and daily life.

This repository contains code, prompts, and experimental results for prompted named entity recognition (NER) on the Statuti di Ascoli corpus. It provides resources for reproducing experiments with large language models and for analyzing challenges such as entity span delimitation in domain-specific texts with vernacular registers.
