Telemetry System testing partially

The telemetry system is a generic, subsystem-agnostic pub/sub pipeline that collects, routes, stores, and exports operational data between components and external services. While the initial producer is the eBPF subsystem, the pipeline is designed to support other services and modules in the future.

Architecture

StyX is built as a Linux-native management layer around existing kernel networking and security subsystems.

The platform does not implement networking functionality itself where the Linux kernel already provides it. Instead, it provides a unified configuration and management layer for subsystems such as:

  • Linux networking and routing
  • nftables
  • IPsec / XFRM
  • Traffic Control (TC)
  • eBPF
  • Linux services and system components

The management layer maintains a unified configuration model and translates it into the corresponding Linux subsystem configuration. Operational state, events, statistics, and logs are collected back into the platform for monitoring and automation.

The architecture is designed to keep subsystem-specific functionality isolated while exposing a consistent management interface through the web UI and API.
