feat: calculator v61 redesign

Description

This PR:

1. Refreshes the in-app Bitcoin Calculator widget with the v6.1 two-row card treatment and Bitkit number pad interaction.
2. Ports the Android calculator polish from synonymdev/bitkit-android#942, including outside-tap dismissal, long-press backspace clear, stable placeholder/cursor behavior, all-position focused layout handling, focused-widget scroll locking, and vertical numpad collapse on dismiss.
3. Keeps the Calculator OS widget out of scope for now, matching the Android PR decision; the iOS OS widget work is preserved on backup branch:
   ovi/calculator-os-widget-v61-backup-ios.
4. Adds Calculator preview carousel support plus focused formatter/input coverage for grouping, decimal placeholders, localized decimal entry, clearing, fiat-only persistence, visible zero-sat conversion, and BTC supply limits.

Rationale for replacing OS keyboard with custom version of the in-app Numpad revolved around maintaining the app's look and feel and having more control to style it and have it behave like the app usually does in other flows.

I'm wondering what is the reasoning for moving away from the on-screen keyboard?

@pwltr Mainly outlook of how the app looks and feels, probably it wasn't that much of a need on iOS, on Android it's not from app's side who dictates what color theme the keyboard has, so, it used to be white and we used to have both , and . as buttons.

Also not clear how this would look for with small variant in the next iteration.

Theoretically it still behaves like a keyboard, it will probably look a litte odd because the calculator card is small and positioned either on the left or right above the numpad, but it ain't more different than what the OS keyboard look would bring in same case.

3. Keeps the Calculator OS widget out of scope for now, matching the Android PR decision; the iOS OS widget work is preserved on backup branch:

4. Adds Calculator preview carousel support plus focused formatter/input coverage for grouping, decimal placeholders, localized decimal entry, clearing, fiat-only persistence, visible zero-sat conversion, and BTC supply limits.

Rationale for replacing OS keyboard with custom version of the in-app Numpad revolved around maintaining the app's look and feel and having more control to style it and have it behave like the app usually does in other flows.

I'm wondering what is the reasoning for moving away from the on-screen keyboard?

@pwltr Mainly outlook of how the app looks and feels, probably it wasn't that much of a need on iOS, on Android it's not from app's side who dictates what color theme the keyboard has, so, it used to be white and we used to have both , and . as buttons.

Also not clear how this would look for with small variant in the next iteration.

Theoretically it still behaves like a keyboard, it will probably look a litte odd because the calculator card is small and positioned either on the left or right above the numpad, but it ain't more different than what the OS keyboard look would bring in same case.

3. Keeps the Calculator OS widget out of scope for now, matching the Android PR decision; the iOS OS widget work is preserved on backup branch:
   ovi/calculator-os-widget-v61-backup-ios.
4. Adds Calculator preview carousel support plus focused formatter/input coverage for grouping, decimal placeholders, localized decimal entry, clearing, fiat-only persistence, visible zero-sat conversion, and BTC supply limits.

Rationale for replacing OS keyboard with custom version of the in-app Numpad revolved around maintaining the app's look and feel and having more control to style it and have it behave like the app usually does in other flows.

Also not clear how this would look for with small variant in the next iteration.

Theoretically it still behaves like a keyboard, it will probably look a litte odd because the calculator card is small and positioned either on the left or right above the numpad, but it ain't more different than what the OS keyboard look would bring in same case.

2. Ports the Android calculator polish from synonymdev/bitkit-android#942, including outside-tap dismissal, long-press backspace clear, stable placeholder/cursor behavior, all-position focused layout handling, focused-widget scroll locking, and vertical numpad collapse on dismiss.
3. Keeps the Calculator OS widget out of scope for now, matching the Android PR decision; the iOS OS widget work is preserved on backup branch:
   ovi/calculator-os-widget-v61-backup-ios.
4. Adds Calculator preview carousel support plus focused formatter/input coverage for grouping, decimal placeholders, localized decimal entry, clearing, fiat-only persistence, visible zero-sat conversion, and BTC supply limits.

Rationale for replacing OS keyboard with custom version of the in-app Numpad revolved around maintaining the app's look and feel and having more control to style it and have it behave like the app usually does in other flows.

  • opened Home → Widgets, tapped the Calculator fiat row, and captured the focused layout; the number pad rendered inline below the calculator, lower widgets stayed hidden while focused, and outside-tap dismissal restored the lower widgets.
  • forced Calculator to the first widget position above Suggestions, focused the fiat row, and confirmed the calculator plus number pad settle down into the viewport without fading. Repeated with Suggestions above Calculator and confirmed the number pad expands inline without shoving the card into a bad position, then outside-tap dismissal restored the widget list.
  • forced Suggestions → Price → Calculator → Blocks, focused the calculator after scrolling it into the higher viewport position, and confirmed the card remains attached to the inline number pad with all number-pad rows visible. Repeated Calculator-first and Suggestions-above-Calculator positions to confirm those focused layouts still settle correctly.
• CI: standard PR validation is expected to cover the normal build/test lanes.

@pwltr Thanks for testing, it was ack on my side that it doesn't work, so you just caught one state of how it didn't work. It was very hard to get all cases work without breaking the other(s).

It seems stable now, I will request your review as well once I do my final checks around the rest of the work and tidy up the PR description with preview recordings 🙏🏻 .

I'm wondering what is the reasoning for moving away from the on-screen keyboard?

@pwltr Mainly outlook of how the app looks and feels, probably it wasn't that much of a need on iOS, on Android it's not from app's side who dictates what color theme the keyboard has, so, it used to be white and we used to have both , and . as buttons.

Also not clear how this would look for with small variant in the next iteration.

Theoretically it still behaves like a keyboard, it will probably look a litte odd because the calculator card is small and positioned either on the left or right above the numpad, but it ain't more different than what the OS keyboard look would bring in same case.

Testing Notes

• empty BTC shows 0 in modern and 0.00000000 in classic
• empty fiat show 0
• classic BTC tail 0s dimmed
• recalculates btc / fiat on rate change
• behavior ok on different in-app widget position (top/down/middle)
• confirm no OS calc widget

The only thing is that https://bitkit.stag0.blocktank.to/fx/rates/btc has some pairs stale (e.g. BTCUSD) which causes mismatches in staging build. Flagged in https://synonymworkspace.slack.com/archives/C03UWHGKUNP/p1779786482683179, but perhaps we can just consider using https://blocktank.synonym.to/fx/rates/btc for all builds across the board.
