Thavishka Gamage is a PhD student in Industrial Engineering at Northeastern University, working with Prof. Alp Akcay on machine learning for decision-making under uncertainty and multi-agent systems. He previously earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Industrial & Systems Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science at the University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS). Passionate about leveraging knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, he thrives on creating innovative solutions and leading transformative projects. He has demonstrated his capabilities through a variety of research and co-op experiences, gaining hands-on expertise in machine learning, multi-agent systems, and software development. Believing in continuous learning, he actively seeks growth opportunities through research collaboration and community involvement. He is also passionate about startups, both in building his own ventures and contributing to early-stage companies that focus on innovation.
