Try to Convert LAZ to GLB. Processing until the end, Store, Done. No files in Output.
LAZ File is 4.8GB.

if you try to run from commandline, any error messages? (*i checked: no messages)

or in the gui,
try if you enable split to grid, to get multiple gltf files.. 4.8gb might be too big for the gltf writer.
(i'll do some test what size works)

for single file output

• 2.8gb laz : Works
• 3.4gb laz : Not working for single file output, Works for split to grid (multiple files output)

I'll check why the large file conversion fails though.
*Seems to fail silently, even for the (v2) .UCPC format, probably since the float arrays get too large?

solution/workaround:
Enable split to grid and use some suitable grid size, to create multiple smaller meshes.

Hi, yes fails silently. Tried now also with Split, as a result I have one file with 1KB Content: '1|25|0|-1.6195721E-06|3.2979017E-08|5.1388167E-08|20.114939|6.24835|14.161651|-157.4791|-66.47343|-13.579595|64' and that is it, the RAM is not disposed at all, stays at 28GB after the Converter displays 'Done!'.

I would recommend to begin writing during processing? In that case even the single output should be possible again. I can switch to my 196GB RAM machine tomorrow, maybe I will get an output there, however, that should not be the workflow. Maybe you want to figure out, if it is doable, to write as it converts, stream or anything, this usually allows endless sizes.

if you didnt get any files out, then try smaller grid size value?

Or check in cloudcompare if your laz file is in meters or millimeters,
then apply scaling to get meters for Unity or most engines with the [x] Scale checkbox)

Yes, the one file header list file had wrong extension (can rename the extension to .txt or anything else),
pushed plugin update. (its available in the Downloads section).

i can look into that streaming, but since this uses 3rd party gltf writer, it might not be easy.
also, most likely the output file would be too large to handle as a single mesh (for example in Unity).

how many points your file has (so i can test with similar amount).

Yes will have to prepare the data accordingly in Cloud Compare. I tried with a smaller, that worked just at the limit, but still fails with Unity Standard settings. However, it is possible to turn off the Unity limitations, by player settings, but it is not recommended and also not a good workflow.

However, trying to stream it, sounds like a good approach, if possible. Otherwise thanks for the scaling hint, will try, also during data preparation, to do that. I will know more tomorrow, and let you know how many points that is.
