Summary

Adds support for the prepareStep method to DurableAgent configuration, enabling custom step preparation logic. This enhancement allows users to pre-process and validate steps before execution.

Changes

Agent Implementation (packages/ai/src/agent/durable-agent.ts)

  • Add prepareStep method support to DurableAgent configuration
  • Implement step preparation logic with custom handling
  • Update type definitions to include prepareStep option

Tests (packages/ai/src/agent/durable-agent.test.ts)

  • Add comprehensive test suite for prepareStep functionality
  • Test custom step preparation workflows
  • Validate step validation and processing behavior

Documentation (changeset/durable-agent-prepare-step-default.md)

  • Add changelog entry documenting the new prepareStep feature

Summary
Adds support for the prepareStep method to DurableAgent configuration, enabling custom step preparation logic. This enhancement allows users to pre-process and validate steps before execution.

Agent Implementation (packages/ai/src/agent/durable-agent.ts)
  • Add prepareStep method support to DurableAgent configuration
  • Implement step preparation logic with custom handling
  • Update type definitions to include prepareStep option
Tests (packages/ai/src/agent/durable-agent.test.ts)
  • Add comprehensive test suite for prepareStep functionality
