Description

Adds a dismissible helper toast to the trace viewer that teaches the step shortcuts:

  • Press Alt to see the delta between steps.
  • Press J/K to navigate through steps.

The helper stores dismissals in localStorage and stops appearing after three dismissals.

How did you test your changes?

Not run: pnpm exec biome check packages/web/app/components/run-detail-view.tsx could not find biome because dependencies are not installed in this worktree.

refactor(web-shared): extract trace shortcut helper into own module

Move the rotating shortcut helper out of trace-viewer.tsx into a
dedicated component with a CSS-driven crossfade, center it over the
whole viewer, and always rotate both hints.

No backport to stable for 6855282 (AI decision).

This is a feature built on the new-trace-viewer/ component and Kbd variants that do not exist on stable (verified: the new-trace-viewer/ dir and ui/kbd.tsx are absent, index.ts doesn't export Kbd, and run-detail-view.tsx on stable doesn't use NewTraceViewer). The only stable-applicable changes are incidental cosmetic toast-text tweaks, which don't justify backporting a feature that can't be cherry-picked cleanly.

To override, re-run the Backport to stable workflow manually via workflow_dispatch and paste this commit SHA into the ref input:

685528259ddf93c17f544c2bed841088d0973dcb

Description
Adds a dismissible helper toast to the trace viewer that teaches the step shortcuts:
  • Press Alt to see the delta between steps.
  • Press J/K to navigate through steps.
The helper stores dismissals in localStorage and stops appearing after three dismissals.
How did you test your changes?
Not run: pnpm exec biome check packages/web/app/components/run-detail-view.tsx could not find biome because dependencies are not installed in this worktree.

Move the rotating shortcut helper out of trace-viewer.tsx into a
dedicated component with a CSS-driven crossfade, center it over the
whole viewer, and always rotate both hints.

No backport to stable for 6855282 (AI decision).
This is a feature built on the new-trace-viewer/ component and Kbd variants that do not exist on stable (verified: the new-trace-viewer/ dir and ui/kbd.tsx are absent, index.ts doesn't export Kbd, and run-detail-view.tsx on stable doesn't use NewTraceViewer). The only stable-applicable changes are incidental cosmetic toast-text tweaks, which don't justify backporting a feature that can't be cherry-picked cleanly.
To override, re-run the Backport to stable workflow manually via workflow_dispatch and paste this commit SHA into the ref input:

No backport to stable for 6855282 (AI decision).
This is a feature built on the new-trace-viewer/ component and Kbd variants that do not exist on stable (verified: the new-trace-viewer/ dir and ui/kbd.tsx are absent, index.ts doesn't export Kbd, and run-detail-view.tsx on stable doesn't use NewTraceViewer). The only stable-applicable changes are incidental cosmetic toast-text tweaks, which don't justify backporting a feature that can't be cherry-picked cleanly.
To override, re-run the Backport to stable workflow manually via workflow_dispatch and paste this commit SHA into the ref input:
685528259ddf93c17f544c2bed841088d0973dcb

Description
Adds a dismissible helper toast to the trace viewer that teaches the step shortcuts:
  • Press Alt to see the delta between steps.
  • Press J/K to navigate through steps.
The helper stores dismissals in localStorage and stops appearing after three dismissals.
How did you test your changes?
Not run: pnpm exec biome check packages/web/app/components/run-detail-view.tsx could not find biome because dependencies are not installed in this worktree.

refactor(web-shared): extract trace shortcut helper into own module

Move the rotating shortcut helper out of trace-viewer.tsx into a
dedicated component with a CSS-driven crossfade, center it over the
whole viewer, and always rotate both hints.
